Weekend Retreat with Kelsang Denpa, Resident Teacher of Kuluta Centre, visits KMC Canada to guide this weekend retreat.

This weekend retreat explores the beauty and profundity of the Liberating Prayer, a praise to the extraordinary qualities of Buddha Shakyamuni. Through understanding the nature and function of Buddha, our appreciation, faith and connection to him increase.  This retreat is an opportunity to get close to Buddha through contemplating his kindness and experiencing his living presence in meditation.

Kadampa Buddhist Temple Toronto

Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada is located in downtown Toronto in Little Italy, and is the National Temple of the New Kadampa Tradition founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. The Buddhist Temple is dedicated to the attainment of world peace by offering everyone the opportunity to develop lasting mental peace through meditation and related practices.

The spiritual programs at KMC Canada provide practical methods for improving our human nature and qualities through developing the capacity of our mind. The year-round meditation classes are suitable for people of all levels from complete beginners to advanced practitioners.

The program is open to everyone – young, old, working, retired, singles, couples, and families. The centre welcomes people from all faiths and those who do not subscribe to any faith. You do not have to be a Buddhist to take part in the programs or to benefit from them.
